"This is the nourkash. A creature hailing from the planet Zabunux. Like most fauna, the nourkash is an omnivore, and can be domesticated. In the wild, it is a skittish, if highly curious creature. As a pet, it will constantly seek companionship with its zabu caretaker. It shows affection by coiling it's tail around the zabu's arm, neck, or head, depending on its mood.
A popular fairground game is to 'guess the age'. The rules are simple. A box with 4 comfortably large holes has four nourkash of various ages places into it. The tail grows in length as the animal grows older, and so it's test to see if you can guess, based on what little you see of the tail. The nourkash used in these games are trained to not reveal their tail completely until the participant makes a guess.
More variants based on geological location may be discovered in the future.

FAQ: Yes, the long tail was inspired by Marsupilami/Spiralis. The nourkash doesn't use it like a spring, but uses its prehensile strength to swing and give itself a speed boost.
The nourkash was designed by meakimon/keali, though if you want to make a nourkash oc, please show me, that's exciting!
