Marcus is a former child celebrity and still addicted to attention. Natalie loves giving attention, up to the point that she almost becomes Marcus' wannabe therapist.

Marcus is usually the type to just hook up with people to then drop them (instead of building any lasting connections), but Nat is immune to his advances, which is ironically just what he needs: a friend, who just likes him for who he really is.
