30 minutes before the new year, the island representative exits Resident Services, finding only the vacancy of the plaza . no villager friends, no Nook or Isabelle, and strangely no immovable new years countdown sign blocking the door ... the center of the plaza, however, had grown a bare fruit tree, planted in a brick circle . the child sat on the swing as the light breeze permitted its rubbery sway .
they eventually notice an X mark in the tree, and dug out a variety of fresh fruits and seeds, consuming them soon after .
some time later, a chipper Chiaki Nanami walks up to the kid, holding a map in her hands . spotting the cherries in their hand, she mentions never having them before, due to her parents' prohibitions for reasons unknown . Nanami later talks about heading for "Cherry, Japan" and a Southwest City, just within walking distance .
perhaps the two began their journey just as i woke up ...

yayyy, hella cool dream !! ...from before the tlou dream, i forgot . i was experimenting with colors a bit, trying to make them more "midnight- y" while keeping moderate saturation / contrast ..? idk how to word this rn it's late i need to bed (also i like how i did the ground shading just duplicating the color layers changing them to blue using perspective and blurring them i thought that was pretty neat ok nightynight)
