============================================
Q: Art programs you have but don't use?
I have Krita and Piskel. I don't use Krita because I am more leaning towards drawing with Paint Tool Sai and Animating with Macromedia Flash 8. Sometimes, I'll use Sony Vegas Pro 15 for the editing and composition.
Q: What ideas come from when you were little?
Life, Cartoons, Memories, Dreams, Nightmare, Video Games that I played as a kid. When I played the 16-bit Sonic 2 for the Genesis, it started my life. I immediately knew what I loved to do and I got to stick with it. When I was a kid, I had a bunch of ideas like now but the difference is that I didn't really think of restrictions or the pressures of creating back then. I just have fun. Me now? I still create but now I know there restrictions which can be overwhelming but I still have fun!
Q: Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw?
Humans in the anime style. Don't get me started about the hair... D,X I try to draw characters like Rei Ayanami or Goku but boy, they are made out of structures. Arms and legs can be tough to draw but most the arms and where you will place the hands.
Q: Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself?
Online: 49%
Myself: 51%
Q: Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (e.g. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it)?
Some friends' works. Also people who stick by doing what they love to do despite knowing how complex it can get. Many people wouldn't be able to have the time to create or even turn it into a potential career, but most do it and it gives me hope to try it myself!
Q: A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate?
3D Art. While I do enjoy the cell-shaded models and low poly models, it's just not my thing. I can see why people love it though since it would be cool to see characters come to life in the most real way possible! :D
Q: What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in?
Some original works and abandoned character concepts. That's because they are usually revamped for something better.
Q: Favorite piece of clothing to draw?
Scarves and gloves. :3
Q: Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what?
Well sometimes. I prefer peace and quiet, but when I want to get the mood pumping, I just listen to ambience to ease out my mind and concentrate better. Like the sound of a snowstorm or waterfalls. Music too. I prefer instrumental since words can be a bit distracting. The music I listen to are Triphop, Jazz, Downtempo, Lo-fi, Future Jazz, and 80's-90's Hip-hop instrumentals!
Q: Easiest part of body to draw?
Head and ears.. Also muzzles and nose. And weird enough, feet and tails.
Q: Any favorite motifs?
Color palettes and shape proportions are some. Character development can come a long way to define these traits in the most absurd but most creative way possible.
Q: Where do you draw (don't drop your ip address this just means do you doodle at a park or smth)?
In my bedroom, on my computer. Also draw on my sketchbook outside or at the Library in my city. Park, etc. Barnes and Nobles. All that jazz.
Q: Something you are good at but don't really have fun doing?
Linework. No contest.
Q: Do you eat/drink when drawing? if so, what?
Yeah. Anything I have like Water or Burgers. Bubble Tea and crackers.
Q: Favorite inanimate objects to draw (food, nature, etc.)?
Watermelon, Snow and Fried Chicken. :3
Q: Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy?
Feet and Hands. I struggle with hands somewhat still but I've been getting better when studying them and how they work. Making a character based on the patterns of fingers kinda help. Haha
Q: Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways?
Jael Peñaloza is like one of the Art Gods I admire. While I can see my work is not so durative from hers directly, she has left an impact on me. As for artists like Edtropolis, TheBlox and Toxicsoul77. Their works are cool.
Q: What physical exercises do you do before drawing, if any?
Stretches and curl ups. What I REALLY love to do is take long walks.
Q: Do you use different layer modes?
Yeah. Multiply, Shades, Overlay, Luminosity, Darken, etc. When the time calls for it.
Q: Do your references include stock images?
Without a shame to say, yes.
Q: Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by?
Evan Stanley, one of the artists of the Sonic comics. One of my characters Glenda the Dog looked similar to a character she created named Gala the Hound. That was all a mere coincidence but because of that, I have to change outfits a little since they wore the same overalls. Didn't help Gala also wore a hat which Glenda did too.
Q: What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended?
There was one old illustration piece I have but it's not uploaded yet. :)
Q: Do you warm up before getting to the good stuff? If so, what is it you draw to warm up with?
All the time. My mind is very messy and I have to do quick sketches and sketch exercises by grabbing a reference and break it down. Redraw it over and over without the reference until my mind can remember it. Otherwise, I'll draw very contour and messy haha
Q: Any art events you have participated in the past (like zines)?
None yet. :)
Q: Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically?
A lot. Steven Universe, Pizza Tower, Earthbound.. it's funny, I've never played the game but I know its made a huge impact on people who have like Toby Fox's Undertale. I know he loves the game and it inspired him for his works. He's even made a Halloween ROM hack. The only thing that Earthbound inspires me is the music since it's... different from games that were coming out in the 90's. I like that really...
