NekTar of the Munchkats is a greatly respected warrior of her kin and as such was among the first to approach Amos and his crew as they found themselves and their ship suddenly teleported into the underground world the Munchkats made their home. It meant a lot to her that Amos pointed his sword when they met, showed he took her and her kin seriously rather than some overlanders who tried to step over them or punt them (note the word tried and not succeeded). The crew of the Midsummer's Rose spent a few weeks underground helping the Munchkats in exchange for the Munchkats working on "bottling" their ship so it could be taken back top side easier.
It was during this adventure Amos found himself captive in the goblin mines of Oion where NekTar lead an attempt to free him, only to find he had fought his way free with what would become fabled in the troll and goblin communities for centuries: "The Bent Fork"
