in case it was not at all clear - everyone is fine, storm was a waterspout that made landfall and kept spinning. dropped a tornado over 100 miles east of me, but it was a brief weak one that didn't really do damage afaik. this was, however, a historical tornado warning - the first one the nws station that issued it has ever issued in the month of feburary (which is weird it wasn't my local one? especially when the local one took over all of them after mine was issued? but i digress).

anyways this is slightly incorrect bc i was actively watching the weather the entire evening but this is funnier and more of a summary of how my yesterday went lmfao. my nerves were tooootally shot, mostly because i was watching the waterspout make landfall and at first the tornadic part of the storm looked like it was headed my direction. it went just south of me regardless. like i love weather and one day i want to storm chase but i have no basement and don't really have an interior room so it freaks me out when i'm home lmao. next time i have to try to tell ryan/andy how to pronounce my town name it'll be too soon

and now there's like two inches of snow outside. cool!
