Kokabiel is the angel of night, and the ultimate lord of darkness. In their realm, Kokabiel vanquishes the sun at dusk, and encourages the world to rest throughout their dark night. For those who choose to live their lives awake in the night, Kokabiel captures the light of stars eons away to guide them. Kokabiel welcomes the moon to travel across their night sky as a way to guide and protect the mortals at night even more so. At dawn, Kokabiel is banished from their realm by the light, and chooses to spend most of the day in the Underworld. Kokabiel shares their realm with their counterpart, the angel of day.
Kokabiel's name takes inspiration from the biblical angel from the Book of Enoch with the same name, Kokabiel, who was known to teach humanity star signs. Being the angel of darkness, and in reference to being an angel "without light," Kokabiel's color scheme is in complete grayscale, as color is ultimately just a reflection of light.
