Luna is an interesting case, seeing that she's famous as being the princess of the night, and raves are well known for going on late into the night. So in many ways, this combo just makes sense, though Luna is rarely the one to showcase such a wild side. But of course not all ravers have to be so over the top bombastic and energetic. Some ravers, myself included, feed more on the good vibes of the crowd, and euphoric energy of the music, so I channel that idea as best as I could into Luna's outfit and dance style.
With her outfit, I knew I wanted to incorporate a starry night time theme, for obvious reasons. As such, I decided to go with an outfit that's vibrantly sparkly, brimming with glitter as if mimicking the twinkling of stars in the sky. And of course, plenty of star-shaped jewelry decorating her outfit and creating a nice contrast between the dark blue. And some dark blue fluffy boots to help bring the whole outfit together. And I made her dance in a more elegant pose, rather than the in-your-face energetic styles of most previous characters. Overall, I'm incredibly proud of how this turned out, out of all of my rave pony artwork, I feel like I resonate with this one the most thus far. As someone who's usually more laid-back, serious, and organized in real life, I like drawing rave designs and rave characters reflect that personality better while still keeping the vibrancy of rave culture, and I think Luna was the perfect catalyst for it.
