this was inspired by the old tumblr style fanarts of characters wearing very specifically 2010s-ish fashion and hanging out in some kind of contemporary setting (in this case i wanted to evoke them hanging out at the mall.) i tried to do a sketch -> line -> color -> shade process which also evokes art of that era to me but i'm not sure how well i pulled it off. 2023
