Sonja was once a happy citizen of a flourishing kingdom, until a legion of vampires caused the kingdom to collapse. Through a series of events, Sonja accidentally got turned into a vampire. Afterward, she decided she didn't want anyone to meet the same fate and made it her goal to destroy all vampires. She spent a few hundred years honing her combat skills and is lethal with just about any weapon, including her fists. Though she appears intimidating with her near-permanent scowl, she reserves her fighting tendencies for vampires.

Being a vampire, she has all sorts of abilities: super strength, super speed, and transformation. Many of these require lots of energy and focus, so she uses them sparingly. If she consumes too much blood at once, she can turn into a massive, uncontrollable beast. If she starves, she becomes scrawny and small.

Though she has her own goals in sight, she sometimes helps Kazway Keepers as their monster hunting expert. After a few centuries of storming castles and strongholds, she has become familiar with how to deal with all sorts of monsters.
