it's been a while since i've publicly posted about this AU! over the past few months i've been trying to pin down how i want the major characters to look, and so i've been working on their designs and finding out what i like and don't like. of course spyro is a big priority in that, and a character that's been quite tricky to pin down.

recently i've made a big breakthrough, and this is what i've come up with! this is only a first rough pass at what i've decided on for him, so i still might adjust or change some things in the future. when he gets a more finished ref, it'll probably be in a similar style to what i've made for voltz, and will include a lengthy written bio with backstory and other such info :> but i figured i'd document the first major step in his development!

the elemental orbs on the right show the colors his elements will be, though they're not going to be those EXACT shades in the final and are probably the thing that will change the most. some of the shades are way too similar, so when you grayscale them, they blend in. i'm planning on having the elements be visually very different from each other, but still, i don't want him to use multiple elements in quick succession in a piece and have them all become mush!
