Who was your first self-insert/persona/fursona? What did they mean to you?
technically, my very first "sona" was a tiger yoshi oc that was my mascot on deviantart for a lil bit
as for as fursonas go:
Who is your current self-insert/persona/fursona? How are they different to your first?
my current sona is just me wearing a mask that turns me into a beast. i feel more attached to this one since they feel like the most authentic version of me that ur gonna get
What phases/styles has your art gone through? (e.g. Did you have an anime era, a cartoon style, a watercolour phase?)
before high school, it was very cartoony and as amateur as you'd expect. I am self taught. in high school, i took art classes that required me to draw studies and realism, so my personal art reflected that. I also dabbled into the anime style a little bit too. Nowadays, i strongly vibe with stylized, cartoony styles and focus less on realism. I amCrazy But Im Free...
I should also note, i struggled a lot with drawing humans, so i was primarily an animal/creature artist until high school! I thank splatoon everyday for breaking me out of that curse. who knew inklings were the perfect bridge between creature and human
What/who do you think has influenced your art style the most?
I was heavily influenced by 00s toons. I studied stephen silver's the silver way book and it unlocked something within my artistic skills and it made drawing much more fun for me. If you need something to help you out with character design, i highly recommend that book. it changedmy life.
ill throw in some other artists that inspire me: Em partridge (not sure if they go by something else. they were a storyboard artist on AT), Andrew Shek, paul jouve, norbertine bresslern roth, nico marlet, craig mccracken, stephan silver, juni ba, robert valley, shiyoon kim, Derrick Wyatt (rip legend), Jamie Hewlett, Akiko Ikeda (wachifield)
What/who inspired you to be an artist?
ummmmmmmm idk ive always been inspired by the World Around me and my friends for the most part
What tools are integral to your current workflow? (e.g. Programs, brushes, references.)
i cannot live without clip studio paint.
What improvements have you made recently?
i got a bbl
What steps would you like to take in the future?
i'm literally spit balling in terms of artistic integrity. i want to learn more skills and branch out. right now i'm going to focus on graphic design and take some classes
wondering if i should post my amphibia doodles to my sketch account orr if i should make an entire side account for it. i’m waiting out for folders to be eventually added so i can just organize them into their own category. idk, what do yall think?
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm who up clink like 😂
