This might be an unpopular opinion, but I kind of really hope Sheezy never gets rid of the upload limitations. Or at least keeps SOME sort of upload limit in place.
If people were allowed to just spam the hell out of the recent uploads page, other peoples' art would just get drowned in a sea of a single person's posts. I think the upload limit helps keep things more fair for everyone, everyone gets an equal shot at having their art displayed on the front page.
I think the 5 or 10 uploads per day limit is MORE than reasonable, as a normal user without a huge backlog (something that would only happen on first joining, anyway) would rarely even hit such a limit.
