The Dilophosaurus lived about 190 million years ago during the Early Jurassic period. You might recognize it as the small, frilled dinosaur that spits venom in "Jurassic Park," but don't be fooled—that's Hollywood flair. In reality, it was a much larger predator, growing up to 20 feet long, with a dual crest on its head and sharp teeth for hunting. Thanks to its lightweight skeleton, the Dilophosaurus was a swift and agile hunter, making it one of the ancient world's most formidable predators.
