Couple of things I wanna share about this piece is that in my art process I sometimes get a sentence or word or words stuck in my head when I think about the work or when I see a character and that ends up steering the work in a certain direction.
When I read Kita's bio and her associated words the tittle of this pic "All Eyes on Me" popped in my head and I realized that's the direction I should take this thing. I love it when the vibe just hits and lets me explore the character through art and aaaaaaaaaa that's it.
Also the sketch was drawn by hand, which is a rare thing I suck at traditional art and rarely do it after switching to digital some 10 years ago. But I do carry a sketch book wherever I go and try to use it sometimes. So the sketch for this was done during a summer festival when I was camping at the front row. Time management to the max.
