♥ BASICS ♥
name/nickname: hannah, red, raven (i'll respond to any of the three!)
gender: gal
pronouns: she/her
age: 30
location: a foggy tourist town
fun fact: i can't sleep in a room with a mirror unless it's covered; i have an irrational fear that i'll wake up, see my reflection, and someone/something will be standing over me. mirrors in dark rooms freak me out.
hobbies/interests: art, RPing, writing, DnD, lancer, video games, collecting art-of books & keys, celtic lore & history
dream job: i'd just like to be secure and happy at this point
♥ ART ♥
favorite medium:
i prefer digital, but i do love pencil, marker, and ink. i also have a soft spot for watercolor, as my nana and i painted a lot in my childhood. aside from marker and watercolor, i usually don't enjoy wet media.
favorite subjects:
character art, sequential art, illustration, and just about anything that involves storytelling.
favorite artists/inspiration:
i'm inspired by a ton of artists but my current tops are: eernarts, greesty, and ctchrysler. other things i'm heavily inspired by include (but are not limited to): celtic lore & mythology, fungi, witchcraft, the silent hill series, cryptids, stuff that glows, birds, old keys, ancient trees, and monsters of all sorts.
how long have you been creating:
the typical "since i could hold a pencil" answer, but i'd say i started drawing seriously and with intent in high school. i did have a severe dry period after college thanks to ye ol' mental health struggles that lasted a good 8 or so years, and while i'm still climbing my way out of that pit i'd like to think i've made a lot of progress and am continuing to do so.
how did you learn:
i was completely self-taught until college. i went to college for animation, so for 4 years... that was how i learned. albeit i sincerely think college was more damaging to my art and creative confidence than it was beneficial (i don't regret it because while it damaged my art, my social experiences made me a better person, and i value that more). since then, i've been back on the self-taught path while i've been healing.
how long does it usually take you to make something:
god, i have no idea these days. on good days, i can probably whip something out in a few hours or by the end of the day. but it can also take me several days to a week to finish something if my brain is kicking itself around.
what's the big project you haven't got around to yet:
i've gotten around to it, but i need to circle back around to it jfdsjkflsd. i have a webcomic! these Wandering Doors.
