I took a new picture of my updated collection (I got new calcites at a rock show back in November) and I want to show you guys it! This is all of my calcites...for now. 

On the left are calcites I bought from rock shops and rock shows, and on the right are calcites I found while mapping in the desert. I started unintentionally collecting calcites at first, but now I want to collect every variety of them.

My favorite mineral is actually fluorite! I love the colors in them and how some of them naturally look like dice. I don't have as much fluorites as calcites in my collection though. I got them all from various rock dealers, none of these were found in the field haha

Do any of you guys collect rocks and minerals? Any specific kind you tend to gravitate to more? I'd love to hear about them and see your collection!
