- She/They
Man, been ages. Empty clout, was a finalist for TISA back in the day.
So while trying to go to sleep (natch) my brain says:
'I wanna do a story about a Racoon and a Corvid.'
I said okay, cool. Thinking of a raven or a crow or a-
'Blue Jays and Racoons share a large habitat area. It should be a blue jay.'
So it's an hour past the time I intended to go to bed and I'm looking at wikipedia's page on Blue Jays. Aggressive, can imitate hawks and such, and their chicks look like uncooked meatballs when they first hatch. Cool. I finally go to sleep thinking my brain might give me a little something the next day.
Nah.
'Wanna do Raccoon & Blue Jay'.
To which I replied, you added a 'c' there, buddy. How is racoon actually spelled? You got me to look up Blue Jays last night. Can we google how to spell-
'No. Pretty sure its Racoon or Raccoon.'
Fine. We got a plot?
'Nah.'
Concept? Style? Hook? Nothing???
Then I realize.
I have seen a story with a Raccoon and a Blue Jay before. Where they get up to shennanigans.
Freakin' Regular Show.
I can't unsee it. I know it's not what my brain meant. It gave me one topdown view of a normal raccoon stealing from a bird feeder with a bluejay, in a more realistic, almost watercolour fashion.
But I STILL don't know what my brain actually WANTS.
Why can't I just finish the projects I have, man???
