Some colored concept art for the "Changelings" reboot today, featuring a custom built supercomputer of Icarus's own making, running a custom operating system dubbed "Changeling." In-universe, Icarus will claim that the name is an "inside joke" without elaborating, but obviously this is really just me making a fun reference to the reboot's "Changelings" origins.

But the real item of focus here is actually the script I'm demoing in this image, called "Guarded Script" (it makes sense in context), which I devised myself and made three separate versions of fonts for it: "rounded," "pixelated," and "handwrite." The latter one proved especially stubborn to make--at one point, I had to redo most of the glyphs for it because the first set just weren't cooperating, then later had to redo all the kerning as well due to the first attempt being lost--but I prevailed in the end, and I'm glad to get that hurdle out of the way, as it'd been bottlenecking the project for a bit as I didn't want to move very far forward without it being settled finally.

In other news, I'm still working out what sort of color palette I want to use for the final comic (for it WILL be colored), as I want something that feels...vibrant and colorful, like a 16-bit era Sonic The Hedgehog game, but this is probably in the right direction of what I want at least.
