Hyalophora cecropia (Male), North America's largest native moth.
Hamilton County, Ohio

I found this beauty in 2011 on some Virginia Creeper just after emerging outside my childhood home.

Finding one of these is a hell of a privilege; they only live for about a week after emerging, since they cannot eat. Their only purpose at that point is to find a mate.
