"Are you okay?"
The voice startled him. He turned to see an Anthreun boy with green eyes and dark gray sideburn markings. Despite the chaos, he was unnervingly calm.
"Y-yeah," Michael stammered.
"Good. Now get in there and fight." The boy grinned, giving Michael a thumbs-up before leaping onto a desk and directing the shadowy hand to swat another Grem out of the air.
Michael clenched his fists. He couldn’t just stand around anymore.
He ran toward the back of the room, where the Grems were thickest, and dropped into the stance Ms. Luna had taught him. Drawing on her lessons, he focused and punched forward. A brick flew from the wall, slamming into a Grem and crushing it against the far side of the room.
"Now you’ve got it!" the Anthreun boy called out, his grin widening.
Here is a sneak peek of the comic, written above is a snippet from the script.
It's kind of lethargic to see my oldest character and one of my youngest's characters interact, I've drawn pictures of them before but this is the first one that has been colored and laid out. Some things on here I'm not to happy with as I'm still experimenting with brushes, styles and methods but I think I like this method of shading and having a slightly blurry background to keep the focus on the characters
I'm actually proud of myself for this one, the perspective is actually close with both characters and the desks though I think they could use more work but this is just a cropped image of a panel so a lot of detail is missing but I'm practicing on making things simple so it's easier to me
