My art on here used to get so many likes and comments soon after posting. I've noticed that for some months now, my art will completely flop on here and get 0 likes/comments even days after posting. Are a large chunk of people just leaving this site or something? And can any other artists relate to the sudden drop in interaction?
If any of y'all have Pretendo come visit my town in New Leaf pleaseee.
Add me on AJC and check out my den, my user is SherbetToons
(I posted this on ToyHouse too but I will also post it here)
I dunno how to word this, but I just really want my OCs/art to look like they're an actual canon media of some kind, like a cartoon/comic/etc. I wish that people would see my OCs/art out of context and their first thought was "What's this from?" instead of "Who's OC is this?". There are some OC artists who do give off those vibes well, and I just kind of want some advice on how to achieve it.
To be clear, I don't really want my OCs to look like they're from a show/comic/etc that already exists, because none of my OCs are really fan characters. I just kind of want my OCs to look like they're from their own actual media franchise. But I dunno what it is in particular that makes something look like that. So if you have any tips/advice/opinions, I'd appreciate hearing it.
What is it that makes an OC/art look like it's FROM something? Is it merely just consistency between art pieces in general? Do you know any artists who you at first mistaken the OCs of to be canon characters, and if so what is it about their art that made you think that?
How do I add all the funky little cursors y'all have, and what are all the available options for it? Please don't tell me it requires a lot of coding, I'll just give up at that point..
