I made a sonic.exe. Yeah. I just think that Phantom Ruby has horror potential. It's literally reality warping. Perfect for an evil thing stuck in a game. Also, I was an Infinite the Jackal fan since day one, and the lore of this EXE involves him, of course. This EXE is for some reason obsessed with Infinite, he's the favourite toy of sorts. This EXE favours psychological torment, and would prolong it as long as it can. It likes to make his targets doubt what's real and what's not, starting small and ramping up the more it's target falls into madness. It prefers not to kill people outright, there's o fun for it in that. This could work for both in universe horror as well as IRL eldritch thing. Oh, and of course, when you anger this EXE enough, it will kill you, but one thing he won't kill? Infinite, or anyone similar to him, because that was it's one obsession, it was born from it. So if I were to ever write a story about them, Infinite would be the main character of sorts
