i originally wanted to draw references for my personal worldbuild's version of the monkey king + six eared macaque but i was really struggling to draw a plain fullbody :P

ive always had this problem so i think i should just let designs come out organically over time from drawing scenes, instead of forcing myself to make references because thats what character designs are "supposed to have" lol
