Bakari was born before Mheetu, and would have remained in the Ndona Pride, if it weren’t for a certain incident.

Bakari was going for a royal lesson with his father, when he overheard a conversation with some of the hyenas about Simba and Mufasa. It wasn’t coherently clear about what they were discussing but it did peak his curiosity. He would go on to pester and probe Scar about it till Scar had a enough and decided to betroth Bakari to the pride who accepted it first.

Unhappy with this decision, Bakari couldn’t do much but carry on his duty. He said his farewells, and was taken to the Mbala Pride. He was betrothed to the eldest princess, she was a year older than him, and made Bakari feel better about the situation, the two later became very close and wed when they become older.

Bakari did attempt to go back to the Pridelands, but he was nearly mauled in the process by hyenas patrolling the borders, he just escaped with his life. Later on, he reunites with his family in the Pridelands after Scar’s defeat and Simba’s official coronation ceremony.

TLK AU: Royal Princes and PrincessesRoho Roho (meaning soul) aka “Fluffy”, the cub seen at the end of TLK1, is the first born of Simba and Nala. He was born just a few short months prematurely after Simba’s return as the only cub in the litter. He would grow up to be quite prone to illness and fatigue, spending much time in the Royal Den than with his peers and siblings, or his father for lessons. By the time Roho was well enough to be able to take his lessons, as a tween cub, he put all of his inner strength into studying and attending all the lessons he could to catch up. Weeks would go by, until Roho caved in with a bout of anxious fever, declaring his wish to no longer be heir to the throne. Both parents were shocked but understood their son’s plea, and passed on the title of Crown Prince to Roho’s youngest brother, at the time, Kopa. Roho would later be betrothed to the largest empire in all of history; the Darweshi (meaning devout) empire. One of the most wealthiest and important merchant families came to do trade, and whilst they visited and conversed with the royal families and nobility, one of them offered their daughter in betrothal. The original betrothal was proposed to Tanabi, but he was the current Lion Guard leader and he had no wish to be betrothed. So Roho stepped up in his place, and happily hit it off with his later wife, enjoying going on various merchant travels with her across many lands. Tanabi, Shani & Kopa These three were the second litter to be born after the first litter. Tanabi (meaning friendly) came first, Shani (meaning crimson) followed, with Kopa (meaning heart) last. Tanabi would later train to become the next Lion Guard leader by his aunt; Jaha, and his great aunt and uncle, Sabah and Machupa. He would spend his cubhood playing as the Fiercest whilst rounding up his friends into his games until he had chosen his upcoming guard later on. Before his younger siblings’ birth, an nearby ally of the Pridelands for decades had gone through serious trouble to their pride. A rogue band had attacked them and left them severely exposed and vulnerable, so they turned to their ally in a plead for aid. The rulers of this pride, the Mesi pride from the Riverlands, and the Prideland’s rulers and council came to the agreement of a joint Lion Guard for the two territories. Therefore Tanabi grows up finding himself spending more time in the Riverlands than home, later settling down and retiring when Kion is born. Shani found her passion within her birth pride from a young age; diplomatics. She would find this by having to attend council meetings with her parents, engrossing herself in every meeting, later finding herself watching even the most feeble of council meetings with anticipating. She would be taken under paw by her mentor and the current diplomat at the time, Mtoto; Simba’s cousin. Under his guidance, she blossomed into a valuable asset in the council, speaking as a voice of reason with a cool and collected attitude. Kopa’s story remains the same as mentioned before. Aisha, Chaka & Kiara The third litter after Tanabi, Shani and Kopa is; Naba (meaning good), Aisha (meaning alive and well), Chaka (meaning life), and Kiara (meaning bright). They were born several months after. This rambunctious group were a handful as cubs, causing great distress and anxiety for their father about their safety, this is especially due to their older brother’s, Kopa, assassination attempt from Zira as a cub. They were secretly more fawned and doted on by their older family and nobility due to bearing resemblance to their grandparents; Chaka resembling Ahadi, Aisha resembling Uru, Naba resembling her great grandmother Queen Eshe (Mohatu’s mate), and Kiara resembling Mufasa. This did lead to some entitlement and attitude that was quickly stamped out before it became a bigger problem by their more sensible relatives. Naba becomes an esteemed ambassador for the Pridelands, representing her home and pride dutifully, later on being betrothed in a strategic manner with the council’s guidance. Aisha is just like her aunt, great aunt and grandmother, being a hardy and battle ready lioness. She joins the Royal Guard in her teens and rises through the ranks, later branching out and establishing the Royal Military as the General in Pridelands as it expanded with the Outlands joint together. Chaka would later be betrothed to his chosen beloved he met during a royal visit to the Riverlands to see his older brother, as well as creating the Riverland’s first Royal Healers Guild. Kiara’s story follows the same as in the movie, as neither of her older siblings wanted to rule, after Kopa gave up his title and went to start his own kingdom. Kiongozi I have a lot of issues with the Lion Guard, so I will be removing the things I don’t like from it; no magical powers or roar, no summoning on the whim, and definitely Kion isn’t irresponsibly thrown the responsibilities of Lion Guard leader on him so young like in the show. The original group of the Lion Guard stays the same as I liked them a lot, and instead of being the Lion Guard, Kion and his aunt Jaha form the newly established a newly reformed Royal Guard, allowing not only lions to join the ranks. He does later leave to the Tree of Life to receive treatment and therapy for his condition. I hated how rushed and unnatural the relationship between Rani and Kion was developed in the show, so I’m scraping that and having Kion and Fuli together. Rani does “confess” her feelings to him before he leaves, but Kion turns her down politely as he didn’t feel the same. Kion ends up the Royal Guard leader after Vitani takes over as the official Lion Guard leader when he returns, training the next generation of the Pridelands.
