Finally had the time to participate in specord's special gala event !
The theme this year was Divine Whispers. I've thought about joining for a while but it always happens during traveling but this time I had enough time. I manage to get Sun which I did not expect, maybe one remembered me being the Sun fan after years of inactivity...

Blurb given for event:

"For Sun's outfit I went with the idea of an "island deity". I figured it fit best as Sun was dedicated to reclaiming the island that was once his grandfather's, and the Guardian Deities of Alola each protect their respective islands. There is also inspiration from Solgaleo's design as Alola's guardians have history with it as well, and also cuz you could say Cosmoem was one of Sun's biggest deliveries somewhat similar to the guardians... I really wanted the clothes to give the impression of a guardian but also wanted to keep Sun's sporty look in reference to his other clothing."

Also to add... I made Dollar a Persian, the idea was because he's happy and well fed on that island now(he's got a rainbow poke bean in da mouth).

It was tricky to put the design together, and originally the Solgaleo inspiration was gonna be minimum but my idea expanded better as I was working up the final piece, while also making sure it wasn't too cluttered. I added and removed stuff while doing the lineart but I'm ultimately happy with it.

Dude I finished the coloring on Persian and also did the rendering in a few hours cuz the due date was somewhere after the middle of the night LOL. I guess I can draw fast, though there definitely still some errors I did but honestly man it looks good enough I think....
