I figure I should do this since I didn't last year lol.
How many usernames have you had? (You don't have to share them!)
maybe 3, meanwhile in a different site I went through billions.
What does your current username mean?
It means Sunshine, shocking.
What is the first program you used to make digital art?
Ms paint lol, I still mess with it sometimes, absolutely despite the update it got though.
Where did you first start posting your art?
Technically Miiverse is when I started to post art online, but also DeviantArt
What is the first piece of media you drew fanart for?
Pokémon Is the earliest I can recall.
Who is your current self-insert/persona/fursona? How are they different to your first?
Ruby the Cat, based on a cat I once had and is the reason I love cats a lot. They really don't have much going on, they just represent me kinda like a mascot. My first was just a Pokémon, I thought it'd gain more traction for being a Pokémon, but they don't really fit well for me anymore.
What phases/styles has your art gone through? (e.g. Did you have an anime era, a cartoon style, a watercolour phase?)
After getting into Pokémon my art style seemed more anime like, I had a short realistic phase, then I had a very cartoony and colorful phase, then back to more anime art style, then some tribal like style, and now idrc much for art styles, just whatever comes naturally for me. I know I just drew in three different styles recently, but that's because I need variety to keep my drive to keep drawing.
What/who do you think has influenced your art style the most?
Video games... and Pokémon lol. I remember I used to try and replicate the Pokémon art style so often that it became my main way of shading as well. Though of course over time my art style now doesn't have a main inspiration anymore though some traits of the past may be there. If anything, my feelings kinda help bring some new art style at times.
What/who inspired you to be an artist?
Video games!!!!!!!!!!!!
What tools are integral to your current workflow? (e.g. Programs, brushes, references.)
I use Krita and I don't wanna bother using any other program tbh. Something funny is that when I'm drawing fanart, I put a shit ton of pins around the canvas like if I'm obsessed with something.
What improvements have you made recently?
Maybe anatomy, it looks too good that I don't wanna draw clothes on them lol. Plus, I've been enhancing my other art styles
What steps would you like to take in the future?
Learn backgrounds cuz, I rarely do them and they're not that great...
