I’ve been trying to process the passing of Toriyama. Without him, Dragon Ball wouldn’t be and it’s not a far stretch to say I wouldn’t be who I am now without Dragon Ball. Heck, DBZ has a lot of dated aspects about it but it also had a lot of good too. Android 17 in particular has been a character I have loved since I was a child. He was basically my first crush and is a muse to me. I really enjoy drawing this little punk and usually I draw him with an attitude. This time I decided to draw him in a more peaceful mood.
Thank you Toriyama for creating Dragon Ball, and introducing me to the world of anime. I became the artist I am today because of you. Thank you, and may you rest peacefully.
