TLDR: Dog surgery is expensive. All commissions remain open. I also have premade designs and bases up for sale!
I've shared this on other websites already, but my dog broke both her upper carnassials (kind of mysteriously! she hasn't had anything super hard to chew on) and they will most likely both need to be removed. We had an appointment Thursday and, while they weren't able to look at her mouth safely (she is stranger-reactive and must be muzzled at the vet) we got an appointment for surgery and a price estimate... of $2134 minimum (this includes exam fees/blood work/anesthesia/numbing/the dental work itself/pain meds/tax/everything). My household has already been struggling and I am also about to owe my school some $300 as well as ongoing expenses like pet supplies. Art is my only source of income at the moment so any purchases and shares would be super appreciated!

I'm hoping to clear out some of the designs on my Toyhouse!
Many available for trade or for low USD prices (with some of the older batch adopts being priced as low as $2).
They're sorted into folders based on price, with a folder for under $10, under $30, and $30+, as well as a folder of designs I'm most willing to look at trade offers on!
I was cleaning out my Journals tab and thought I'd redo this since it's been a few years and some things have changed!

🎨 ART
FAVOURITE MEDIUM: Digital
FAVOURITE SUBJECTS: I love to experiment more than anything, but besides that I enjoy drawing animals and monsters
FAVOURITE ARTISTS/INSPIRATION: Off the top of my head, Karina Farek and Julia Lepetit of Drawfee (and Drawfee in general, tbh!), James Gurney, Jacob Geller, all my artist friends. I was inspired a lot when I was younger by Aeonrin/Autlaw and other artists on DeviantArt.
FAVOURITE PERIOD OF ART: I've developed a strong affection for modern and abstract work (Rothko, Newman, Gonzalez-Torres, etc.) but I have a lot of respect and admiration for art throughout history
PIECE YOU'RE MOST PROUD OF: It's still usually just whatever I finished most recently
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN CREATING?: 22 years lol
HOW DID YOU LEARN?: Primarily self-taught through observing the work of other artists (including my older sibling!). I mentioned that I was about to start an animation course last time I filled this out and I'm almost done with that now; I'm learning a lot from my professors and classmates.
HOW LONG DOES IT USUALLY TAKE YOU TO CREATE?: 3-5 hours for a finished personal piece, longer if it's a commission/for someone else. <- still accurate
WHAT'S THE BIG PROJECT YOU HAVEN'T GOT AROUND TO YET?: I'm still passively working on the same game I mentioned last time (hides)

🎨 ART✏
FAVOURITE MEDIUM: Digital
FAVOURITE SUBJECTS: I love drawing very mood-based and colour-based pieces!
FAVOURITE ARTISTS/INSPIRATION: There are a lot (I have a list on Twitter of some of my top inspos) but off the top of my head, Karina Farek/dilfosaur, Aeonrin, and megafavna inspire me a lot!
FAVOURITE PERIOD OF ART: No idea! I have a lot of respect for artists from every period, lol.
PIECE YOU'RE MOST PROUD OF: Usually just something I drew recently. Right now I'm super proud of this one.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN CREATING?: As long as I can remember! My older brother is an artist as well, so I used to mimic whatever he was doing.
HOW DID YOU LEARN?: Mostly by myself and by mimicking other artists whose work I liked at the time. I also learned a bit from the art/film/photography classes I've taken (and am sure to learn even more, since I'm about to start an animation course!).
HOW LONG DOES IT USUALLY TAKE YOU TO CREATE?: 3-5 hours for a finished personal piece, longer if it's a commission/for someone else.
WHAT'S THE BIG PROJECT YOU HAVEN'T GOT AROUND TO YET?: I have tons of partially completed animations... maybe finishing my VTuber model? And the video game I've been working on for a while 🤫
