Before I begin, this is all just the surface and at most dipping in the water level stuff on how I feel about AI. First is about the art side of this. Art is a beautiful thing that has been alive since way longer than anyone alive today and it's something I really love from just seeing starting artists to experienced ones, animated shows, music, along with books and comics and how art can make us feel different things. The way AI makes "art" is from learning from other artists work and often without their consent taking what many have spent years improving in less than a few seconds. Let alone to mention the new feature on Twitter where anyone can tamper with someone's art. AI is something that I genuinely think some people don't really get, probably because they don't care how it affects people in creative fields and people in general. There have been multiple instances of people using AI to make inappropriate photos of people and minors at the worst. AI is not only stealing people's work it also harms the environment since it emits CO2 into the atmosphere due to the massive amounts of energy it takes to generate things. At the end of the day AI will hopefully never take artists place in the world because it needs that human input to work and we didn't need AI before all these years so why would we need it now? So if you are a beginner artist or an artist, continue drawing, writing, singing, or whatever it is you like. It's that love and passion for art that makes it worth seeing the progress plus I'd rather indulge in my silly little comics and goofy AO3 fanfics made by a person than some AI slop.
