Kingyo is an earthenware hound. His porcelain body was shattered and put back together in the style of kintsugi pottery.

Kintsugi is the art of mending broken pottery with golden joinery. This art form encourages us to repair rather than discard, and to see the beauty in our flaws and imperfections.
