FAVOURITES:
Favourite genre(s): RPG, Action RPG, action games, puzzle games, rhythm games
Favourite video game(s) of all time: Disco Elysium, The Elder Scrolls series, Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, Bloodborne, In Other Waters, Dragon's Dogma, Zoo Tycoon 2, Risk of Rain 2, Hotline Miami, Watch Dogs 2, Rayman Legends, Mass Effect trilogy
Favourite console from the current generation: Switch (if you consider Switch to be current gen, that would be the only one I own)
Favourite console not from the current generation: 3DS
Favourite single player game: Disco Elysium, tho I'm currently in love with Dragon's Dogma 2
Favourite game(s) to play with friends/multiplayer game: Hunt: Showdown, Baldur's Gate 3, Overcooked, Warframe
Favourite character(s) in a game: Kim Kitsuragi (Disco Elysium, duh best character in the game), Kiryu Kazuma and Yamai Yutaka (Yakuza/LaD), The Dragon/Grigori (Dragon's Dogma), Wrench (Watch Dogs 2)... Uhhh... There's definitely more but I forgot about them now.
Favourite boss(es) in a game: Father Gascoigne and Blood-Starved Beast (Bloodborne), amazing fights, amazing music, amazing character designs
Favourite ending in a game: Hmmm... Disco Elysium. Iketsuki hit me hard despite it being rather simple. True ending of Hatoful Boyfriend was a fun fever dream. But honestly, I rarely remember endings in particular, but just entirety of the story.
Favourite song/soundtrack: Oh, that's a hard one, there's so many... Disco Elysium (oh hey, this game again), Bloodborne, Demon's Souls, TESV: Skyrim, Detroit: Become Human (game is shitass, but has amazing soundtrack), Jet Set Radio (and JSR Future), Risk of Rain series, Ghost of Tsushima, In Other Waters, Rayman Legends, Watch Dogs 2, the entirety of Yakuza/LaD sountracks... And when it comes to specific song, Into Free by B'z which was in original Dragon's Dogma and then got removed in Dark Arisen rip
Favourite level(s)/place(s) (tropes or specific ones): The entirety of Kamurocho in every Yakuza/LaD games. Genuinely thinking about writing diploma work about how it recreates real-life Kabukicho. Ghost of Tsushima has one of my favourite open worlds ever. Every game world that is simply a pleasure to make long travels through (I avoid fast travel). I also love silly mini-games like fishing, cooking, dancing, karaoke etc.
MISC:
Most difficult/irritating game you still like: Baba is You, this game is frying my brain, I need to ask my friends for help every 2 levels, but I still love it
Game or series with the best story/writing: Disco Elysium (Do you see repeating patterns in this meme? Once you mention DE, you will keep mentioning DE), Yakuza/Like a Dragon series (Despite it's many downs, it is a consistently well written series, full of great characters and compassion)
Overrated game (to you, but also please be polite): Can't think of anything in particular at the moment? I guess I played Far Cry: Primal and was so disappointed, that I'll never touch any Far Cry again, but at the same time I know that there is some general agreement that Far Cry games after 3 aren't really the best.
Underrated game most people don't like/haven't heard of: NORCO, Chants of Sennaar, In Other Waters, Abzu, Iketsuki, The Forgotten City, Hatoful Boyfriend, Beasts of Bermuda
Game you cried over: Disco Elysium, oh what a surprise
Game you cheered over: Like a Dragon 7 and Like a Dragon 8
Game that you've put way too many hours into: TESV: Skyrim (we're talking around 1000-2000 range), Beasts of Bermuda, Arknights back in the day
Want to play/in your backlog: Oh, that's a veeeery long list. But from the most notable ones: I need to finally finish Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima and few others; from the to play list there's Paleo Pines, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, Return of the Obra Dinn, Spiritfarer and many others.
Game you tried to play but gave up on: Endless Legend (maybe I'll come back, but UI in this game is abysmal and it pretty much destroyed the experience for me), basically any fighter game I tried (simply not a genre for me)
What's the typical rating of games you play: There's no rule here, I don't restrict myself when it comes to PG ratings
Funniest example of video game logic to you: Definitely lots of stealth mechanics, even though I know many of the sleath logic is in place for game to be fun, they are silly to me (or something just straight up bad if dialed up to maximum, enemies losing sight of you instantly or one enemy sighting you immediately alerting everyone without wait time)
THIS OR THAT:
PC or console: PC
Console or handheld: Console
Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft: I don't like choosing between big publishers, especially in the current landscape, but Nintendo is a no-brainer for me here. It has something that simply no-one else has, and I don't neccesarily mean it keeping it's IPs to itself
Mario or Sonic: Mario I guess, never had a story with sonic beyond few fanmade flash games
Playable protagonist or custom player character: I like both, I'm particularly big fan of the "shared protagonist" approach (for example Commander Shepard in Mass Effect, protagonist of Disco Elysium)
Turn-based or real-time: Real-time
Keyboard or controller: Keyboard (most of the time, there are exceptions)
Open world or small levels: Very much depending on the game, both have it's andvantages. Tho I definitely don't like the "open world" mania we had a while ago, that we still feel the effects of. Big world =/= good world.
Generated or set map: Set map, tho if used well generater worlds are neat too
First or third person: First
