It's officially been a year since I sold my soul to this site & ofc it had to be around the time I woke up with an excrutiatingly stiff neck that paralyzed me for an entire day. Ain't that something? :)
Am I the only one who finds the rules of this site about using certain types of audio/music on your animated creations quite unfair?
Like, I kinda understand not using copyrighted music, but straight up audio from YouTube skits? I feel like that's kind of a reach. We just can't always reach out to the creators and ask them to use their audio whilst carrying evidence of their blessing 24/7.
It's a concern for me because I much prefer uploading lots of my animated works on here than on Newgrounds, given it's much friendlier to short clips & animation tests/WIPs in comparison (which constantly get lower ratings on NG). And I don't want to upload most of them without the audio that brings them even more to life. There just ain't many Flash hosting sites nowadays that support simple creations and it bums me out.
Wish we could ease down that rule a little, I don't really see how this could be that big of an issue in the future. It's not like all big creators care about their audio being used for artistic interpretations of their work, so long as they're credited for it.
You know, to sort your art & stuff, instead of having them all in one single gallery where you could easily get lost? Just food for thought.
Sukie's here! No one cares! :D
So yeah! DeviantAI sucks dirt & hair-coated lollipops, now! (At least way more than usual.) I put everything into storage instead of straight up deleting everything & deactivating my account... Just in case things get better there. Don't worry, I got more jokes like that one!
I just had to delete my previous account back when Sheezy was shutting down, with the consequences being, due to my lack of patience, selling to the site my own soul, which is worth about 3$ a month apparently lol
But yep! I can most definitely say that I'm back in the game now! So far, this site is promising, with it forbidding AI, NFTs & whatnot! The "tone indicator" comment option is certainly something I never knew I needed.
To newcomers, be prepared to see some acoustic shenanigans!
