AU where the WC fire scene happens during a tornado instead; the Colonies are instead in a stormy, tornado frequent area & have a dedicated Sky Watch. Ashfur ignores his duty, killing the Wind Colony messenger sent to warn ThunderClan & blocking Squirrelflight and her kits from entering the nearest tunnel.
