i like drawing my character Elfried in old software for reasons that may... be obvious...

paint shop pro is the first art software i ever used in my life so having it working and useable is a bit special to me. it does not work very well with a modern tablet, and can only be used with "mouse mode" turned on, but i think simplicity is sometimes enjoyable. maybe you will understand the sentiment if you have ever painted something in the old animal jam. it feels a little bit like that. also it has a very cute program icon... it is a literal pixel art image of a little shop with a blue sky and little green mountains in the background. i really, really like it.

the color on this piece looks the way it does because i settled for using only the color picker on the side, which is full-saturation colors only, instead of going into the in-depth color picker or using the eyedropper tool because i found it cumbersome that day... i like using colors this way, though, and i would like to do it more.
