Kintsugi is a Japanese craft for repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted with gold or silver, to make something beautiful from what was once damaged.

This is a month of Pride for many, but a month of shame for me. It can be hard to celebrate when things feel so broken. Maybe someday I'll be able to recognize that beauty for myself instead of only seeing the cracks.

Take care of yourselves. Respect people's preferences, respect people's pronouns and lifestyles. Respect what makes people happy and loved. You know not what they've gone through and what they are struggling with.
