Sheezy Art is such an important website to me. I remember making a profile as a kid in the mid 00's. I remember finding community with other artists and how important that was for my growth as an artist. When the website first shut down, I was heartbroken. I would continue to work to make my art better, but nothing scratched that creative itch like Sheezy did for me a decade ago.
Imagine my surprise when I saw that some folks took to reviving this website! The design is snazzy, the UI for uploading and customizing seems intuitive, and there seems to be a really nice grass roots charm that really delights me. I know this technically a new site with a new team, but the spirit of the old website seems to be intact.
I'd like to introduce myself formally! My name is Chris. I also go by Tanimayto. I'm an animator from California. I've been doing this work professionally for about 10 years now! I love telling stories with weird and wonderful characters. I love teaching and helping aspiring artists. I love art and geeking out about it. I love weird animals that don't get enough love. right now I'm obsessed with earthworms and opossums. they're cute little weirdos.
I'm trying to make my own animated series called Club Club right now! I think this might be a good place to drop news and musings about the creative process. Making animation is a huge challenge, and I have a lot of thoughts about it that I've been meaning to share. I like journals as a means to getting my thoughts out there.
I think that's it for now! I'd love to meet other passionate artists out there. Any original website people out there?
