When you hear about something that sounds like xenofiction/has critter characters but then you look into it and they're at most just humans with extremely minimal allusions in their designs to being bugs/foxes/cephalopods/anything not human/hominid in form

(This isn't about anything in particular, I've just had many instances of this in the past when I've looked into what I thought was xenofiction, but is actually just a bunch of human characters who are not actually critters but gijinkas of said critters or something and don't feel or act like them, erhhhhh)
