⇨ faq ⇦
q: would i be able to actually speak these languages ? a: yes ! even the basic grammar structures will be completely functional, meaning you could speak and write in these languages all you wantq: do these languages come with a custom written script ?
a: no, this is just the language itself, not the script. they will be written in the roman alphabet (this one)q: how long does it take you to complete these ?
a: it depends on how many words there are. i can complete a starter pack in 1 to 3 days. a lexicon pack would take me closer to 3 weeksq: can i use these for a story i plan to publish ?
a: yes ! all the packs include full commercial rights for your languageq: what if i already have some words in mind ? can you incorporate those and expand them into an entire language ?
a: yes ! if you have some words already or any ideas about your language's sounds or grammar, i can definitely incorporate those into the final language. words that you give me will be included in the final dictionary, but won't count against your word count from meq: what words will be included ?
a: for a starter pack, i generally pick words from lists like the Swadesh 207 and the 1000 Most Common English Words, and words that will be relevant to the speakers of the language, like a fictional race or species. though if you want to give me a list of words you want included, that's fine by me !q: what's the difference between basic, intermediate, and advanced grammar ?
a: basic grammar has a very, well, basic structure and will be easier to learn and write, if that's what you plan to do with it. it includes word order, adjective order, adpositions, definite and indefinite articles, 2 to 3 noun cases, basic verb tenses, a pronoun table, and anything else that is absolutely necessary to the language structure. intermediate grammar will be a little more difficult, and might include things like (up to) 5 noun cases, gendered nouns, verb conjugation, and some derivational morphology. advanced grammar will be very intricate and even more difficult, and might include things like an insane amount of noun cases, verb transitivity or modality, infixes, a full list of derivational morphologies, or a huge pronouns table.
