A 'reconstruction' of my fictional nimravid (false saber-toothed cat) that I created for one of my stories.

This story takes place on Earth, but in an alternate universe. In this universe, microbes evolved into larger, more complex, highly intelligent and upright walking animals, and they took the place as the 'humans' of their world. My SARS-CoV-2 oc, King Matthias, got a role in this story too. He works as a paleontologist and he discovered the nimravid, and even got the honor to have the animal named after him.

The scientific name is Dinictis sarbecosus and it is related to Dinictis felina, which once existed in the real world. D. sarbecosus had shorter legs, a slightly shorter face and it was overall a more sturdy species than D. felina. It lived in North-America, during the late Eocene to early Miocene epochs (37.2—20.4 million years ago). It might've competed with other predators of that time.
