Strange it's 2025 yet it's the first year I've ever felt... different. It's definitely for the better, or thats what I am choosing it to be. I hope to start my YouTube channel this year I have yet to post since 2023. I am striving for a lot of things this year and here are a few I will be working towards when referencing my art/ skills.
Art Goals for 2025
- Learn sewing this year
- Finish 1 crochet project a month
- Try to do an art 31 day challenge this year
- Start selling stickers
- Get into clay sculpting
- Hone on my animation skills
- Finish 1 sketch book this year
- Make a "Meet the artist" once every month this year
- Make my own crochet pattern (Don't have to release it to the public this year but extra points if I do)
- Don't startany new huge art projects (Ex: full comic books, New youtube channel or brans, etc.)
So when I did yearly goals in the past I usually focused on one singular thing the whole year, this year I'd like it to be way different. So this year I am going to be playing it like a game, I'll be putting all my goals onto a tiered list, each goal will be 10 points and I have 10 main goals which equal to 100 points (if I achieve them all), I will be recording everything once a month on here. So I will be back on here at the end of January to tell you all my progress.
I also would like to put out a list of "to-do's" that will help achieve each goal. So I can keep myself on track and have not only the end goal in mind but the steps it will take to get there.
You may be wondering "Why a point system?" Well each point will add up to prizes! (For me lol) since I have a job, I get to reward myself. So here is what I am thinking:
Certain point marks allow me to buy something off my Etsy/ a small artist every month. So here is what I get to buy if I get to each point quota
10 points = a sticker sheet from the Trytryagain Etsy shop
20 points = a patch from the Milky Tomato shop
30 points = an enamel pin from the Rainylune shop
40 point = a tote bag from the GenaRawsonArt Etsy shop
50 points = A knitted collar from the SoLazoIllustrator Etsy Shop
60 points = a snail bag aka snurse from the MarDeLunaArtsCo Etsy Shop
70 points = a screen printed shirt from the DearTigerCo Etsy Shop
80 points = Cardigan from the KokoKumaShop Etsy
90 points = Ita bag from LunarLapine Esty shop
100 points = This jacket from shopmyviolet
So yes, hopefully I can get to 100 points! but if not... who cares? I'm happy with myself none the less and meeting these goals is not a necessity. Have a happy 2025 everyone!
