This is an ongoing private RP between myself and my friend (who plays Nial) that has been going for about...4, going on 5? years now. Which is an AU of one of our other RPs. But anyway. One of our/my main HCs for "traditional" Sith Pureblood marriages is that they don't do rings; this would be waaayyy too obvious to your rivals/enemies and they might try to hurt your spouse to get to you. So instead, they have a marriage custom where the new couple will get semi-matching scars. Not exactly matching (bc again. that would be too obvious)

But close enough that the couple and any of their close friends/family would obvi know what they mean. But to a stranger and/or rival/enemy, it just looks like another battle scar.

Ni'kasi is the princess of the Imperial Sith Empire in this AU, and Nial is/was the heir and future chieftain of the Yavin IV Massassi tribe; their marriage was arranged by Ni'kasi's mother & Nial's father. At first it was purely political, but they eventually did catch feelings & have recently had a vow renewal IRP so this is a visual ref for what their "wedding scars" look like 💖 these two live rent free in my head frfr
