Is it just me, or is this ID verification thing going to make current problems worse?
Horrible people can just say they're not age verified without saying much of anything else. As someone who was a dumb kid, most minors will not look deeper or ask any questions and assume that means those people are minors. This isn't concrete proof of users being minors, but are kids going to automatically know that? No
Then you get the other part where some minors will use fake IDs just to get verified. Young teens do it with beer, they'll do it with NSFW stuff on the internet

Then the ID verification is obvious why that's dangerous for adults. It's easy pickings if providers and emails get breached and leaked, so that puts a ton more people in danger because barely anything on the internet is secure. All because few people didn't want kids to see some adult stuff while scrolling by

Maybe it's just me being overly cautious, but I cannot see anything good coming out of that new law
