With changes to internet, privatizing spaces, and just people getting older, I've noticed Image RP culture has just sort of become obsolete? Iscribble offered a space where people could just hop on and rp in real time whenever and draw or image rp together just randomly, so you could choose to make friends or just casually engage with someone. Obviously, that came with its caveats, and spaces were not always safe. Moderating public spaces im sure is not as easy 24/7. I think the phenomenon of image rp, or public drawing boards in general has just ended, and although im nostalgic I recognize that people just dont have the time or passion anymore (and tbh, i prefer to hang with other adults, adding another obstacle to scheduling since we all have lives.) Its crazy that its just gone though, and I hope younger people still engage in it, because although text rp is fun, image rp opens up a whole new way of writing and drawing. I wish there was spaces for adults that are both safe and public to engage in it casually, but thats always going to come with risks. These days, everything is done in private with connections, which i think is safer?... But also sad, because the culture is just gone. What do other people think? Did you enjoy image rping?
