I just checked- God, has it really been 8 years (as of 2019) since I've done any Lion King fanart? I need to fix that- The Lion King is what got my art really going way back when.

The Lion Guard is a really good show. It's got it's... issues, but the characters are great for the most part. Janja's design is just as good as, if not better than the original hyenas I think. I've applied my usual on-model-but-slightly-more-realistic thing on him, and I guess aged him up to be a full-grown adult too. How old some of the characters are is a bit confusing, especially in the third season.
