This is my concept for how I think Lylla from the Rocket Raccoon miniseries ought to have looked like in a MCU movie.

She's mostly based on her look in the miniseries (honestly, both the Hulk issue and her recent appearance are pretty bad). I did try to bring out her personality a bit more- she does kinda play the Damsel in Distress in the story, but she also manages to handle herself pretty well (she punches out a couple people, and at least tries to use a big laser gun at one point). I basically wanted to enhance the small glimpses we get of those traits- plus a little bit of the stoicism I got from her modern version.

I think I may have wound up with an otter version of Princess Leia- elegant, but able hold her own in a situation (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DamselOutOfDistress). My brother pointed out that this Lylla looks like she really knows how to handle Rocket. And thinking about it, if she's Leia, then Rocket would be her Han Solo.

Update from 2024:
GotG Vol. 3 has come and gone, and I have to say that I honestly prefer this design (and the headcanon that goes with it) over what we actually got. My God was that movie a harrowing experience.
