I binge-watched My Friends Tigger and Pooh a few years ago looking for Woozles (they're... sort of there?) and was sort of surprised by how much I liked Porcupine. The other new characters in the series are pretty one-dimensional, but I could actually make a short list of Porcupine's personality quirks. It helps she's pretty cute.

I've always found her design a little frustrating though, especially her short, sparse quills. I thought it'd be worth redesigning her, not only giving her a more impressive set of quills, but a bit more realistic look in general, something more in line with the rest of the Pooh cast. I figured I'd be drawing more of her anyway.
I took cues from Gopher, the porcupine from The Fox and the Hound, Beaver from Franklin, and a little bit of Mrs. Brisby.
