oh look i can draw furry stuff too! (if you took a gander at my older art, that used to be my main focus, but i switched to humans bc it was easier. lol.) it's xenia, the fox who could have been linux's mascot! the design was submitted to a logo competition by alan mackey in the 90s and nearly won, but tux the penguin was ultimately selected. anyways she was brought back 20 years later unofficially also she's trans now (approved by her original creator) and she became a kind-of queer linux icon and also i am Very Normal about her. there's a better writeup at https://xenia-linux-site.glitch.me if you're interested, it's a fun story!
unrelatedly i looked up if someone else had already uploaded artwork of her to sheezy and turns out the very person who started the resurgence of xenia is here too, lol. her @ is @\cathodegaytube, go follow her right now!!
anyways an explaination of the joke: the song she's thinking about (with the lyrics "join us now and share the software" is the free software song by richard stallman (whom i attempted to draw a tiny version of from memory. he's in the thought bubble). for the uninitiated, stallman is kind of the father of the free open source software movement, or at least one of the first people to really try to do it. he's also kind of a controversial figure but oh well. he's weird. the song is weird also. but that's just the early free software movement for you. anyways i thought it would be funny to reference it since the idea randomly entered my mind. and yes i know on a karaoke they'd usually have the lyrics for whatever song you should sing but- oops im running out of words kthxbye
