A piece from back when I first started drawing dragons more after being inspired by my friend's beautiful work... -w- they turned some of my ocs into dragons so we can send them on AU playdates together LOL

this one is sort of a spiritual foil + "twin" to This piece! :3

Made some really OBVIOUS and slightly embarrassing mistakes in hindsight (why did I flip his "back" wing like that T__T omg LOL) but I'm proud that I Tried and I think my Shapes and Rendering look good. I stand by this piece and think its mistakes and triumphs are a good symbol of progress I've made leading up to AND since this piece originally was drawn back in September.

This is the dragon form of Dutch, one of my sickest-in-the-head and also most Incredible and Full Of Potential characters!

I was really starting to zero in on listening to darkwave and synth pop at this time, and had found Twin Tribes a few months ago (at the point of drawing this), which has since become one of my favorite bands.... I think they're my number 2 artist streamed of all time (behind Blind Equation) I got THAT obsessed with them within like 4-5 months, and I listen to a LOOOOOT of music just. Hours-wise so that's saying something...

Highly recommend them, as well as Harsh Symmetry (Like An Opiate is my favorite song of theirs) if you like that type of thing -w-

My favorite Twin Tribes songs are definitely Meadow, Fantasmas, Talisman, Monolith, and Avalon, but I love Literally Their Whole Discography.

I listened to Monolith on loop mostly while drawing this! It's a very "Dutch" song.. suits him well :3
