Many of the richer grave findings from the viking age have had quite a lot of embellishments and jewelry on the fabric/apron - I’ve always wondered what the people who didn’t have the means to get expensive jewelry wore (and I doubt even rich people had their best and most expensive stuff on 24/7 in their normal day-to-day). This probably isn’t even close but who knows :D
